Gretchen Clark holds a B.A. in English Literature, co-teaches an online Lyric Essay course on Writers.com and is a weekly Creative Arts Mentor for at-risk teenagers. Perkins is a writer and science teacher in Los Angeles. She holds a doctorate in biochemistry, spent many years in laboratories studying gene regulation in fruit flies and human cancer cells, and is a former recipient of the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation Award. She is now part of the ongoing creative nonfiction workshop at Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center in Venice, California. Her work has been published in Mount Voices, The New York Times Book Review, The Hispanic Outlook On Higher Education and in many scientific journals. Priyanka Sacheti is a freelance writer and journalist based in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Author of three volumes of poetry during her school-years, she takes an active interest in pursuing fiction and has developed a new passion for creative nonfiction of late.
